Hi all: I have this bronze class CCC and wonder what you can tell me about the markings next to the catch: 'FEC W E PFFKHAUS...BERLIN' (nearest the hinge is the 'CF JUNKER...BERLIN' maker mark.)

The clasp itself looks like a fine original Juncker but the backplate is replaced.

"FEC" is short for Latin - 'Fecit' - which means "Made by"
W.E. Peekhaus is the name of the designer.
And of course, Berlin is where he either was awarded the design, filed his patent, or where he lived. Tom could clarify.Comment
