Hi guys,
For collectors interested in the recipients of the Close Combat Clasp in Gold, I am very happy to report that Manfred Dorr's new book is now available. I just received my copy from Manfred himself and very happy with the quality of the book itself and especially with the content. The books is great for several reasons, first and foremost it is the most complete book about listing every known recipient of the Close Combat Clasp in Gold, Germany's highest combat award. The book is also a great resource of period documentation, including all the original regulations when the CCC was instituted, and each subsequent change to the awarding regulations through the last 3 years of the war. The book also has so many great photos of clasps in wear by recipients. Although the book is in German, its not much of a detriment to non-German speaking collectors because the book is mainly a list of the recipients names, ranks, awarded they recieved and date of award for the CCC in Gold, etc. All pretty easily recognizeable to most collectors. A must have book for any serious collector of the Close Combat Clasp.
Book is avaible here if interested:
