    Hi Harry,

That one looks like a casting to me.

    Best regards,

Here is what I consider an original Souval Heer Flak Badge should look like:

It surely does not look like the example shown.

            Hi Harry,

You have a close up of the maker mark?
            Kind regards,
            Giel

Thread starter is a nice original. I have Veteran brought back example missing its pin exactly like it. The one that would worry me more, is the one shown in post number 3. The post war examples that were sold after the war always had a silver plating over the zinc with antique blacking over that. Junker had that type of antique silver plating but I am yet to see proof that RS did it before May 1945, Chris

The war time RS flak always seem to have a black finish over zinc or silver finish over zinc. Antique black over silver plating seems to be postwar, Chris

                  Hi Chris,

Can you post some pictures of the example you have that looks exactly like the one that started this discussion?

                  Thanks & best regards,
                  Tom

                    Hi Chris,

I would still like to see pictures of your veteran-acquired Souval Heer Flak. I am curious to see if it exhibits all of the same flaws as the piece that started this thread. Here are the areas I have concerns about with the badge that started this discussion and why I still think that badge is a casting.

                    Best regards,
                    Tom

                        Hi Chis,

Thank you for posting your examples. I like both of yours, but not the one that started this discussion.

                        Best regards,
                        Tom

Hi 90th Light, I have seen the pictures of your Heer Flak and I wonder if mine can be similar to one of yours, but without marking. What do you think? Thank you very much in advance.

                          Regards.

Here's my example to throw into the debate before and after it got the Vaseline treatment.

                              Your Souval looks really nice.
