I'm going to take a stab at this and say it's a good canvas backed badge
Can the experts confirm or deny this please?
    Thank you in advance

Looks like the one sold today for a bid of $600 which with a 20% buyer's fee raises the total to $720 plus insurance, handling/packaging, shipping.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Very beautiful strip with the right amount of wear.

An auction closed within the hour and a bidder paid $1,138.20 (not including packaging, handling, insurance, shipping) for a decent Silver TDB with canvas backing that came off of a uniform.

With a bit of patience, a similar Silver TDB can be found for around $800.00 from a number of sources.

Amazing the bid prices paid on some of these auctions.
