When doing a price check sometimes I try Collectors Guild. That will give a ball park price range good luck.

Thank you. I don't collect military very much, I am into the political badges myself. I know it's rude to ask prices but was hoping to get some help pricing for my friend. Thank you for the tip, I will check it out. Any opinions on the authenticity?

A fine original GAB, however the catch looks like it might be a replacement. Some closeups of it from different angles with the pin out of the way will tell us for sure, but I am quite sure its a replacement. Otherwise, a very nice original in great condition with almost all its original finish remaining.

Nothing against the Guild, but the prices on there for most things are highly inflated. For common items, best to subtract at least a third (and sometimes even a half) for a more realistic price.

I agree, a nice original Unknown maker Gab

I’m with Tom about the catch. This maker used two different base plate.
Rectangular and round base, but all of them has a slim wire catch.
Never seen a wide “C” catch on this maker
