Looks great John. Those I have handled are VERY lightweight. If this one is for sale, let me know.

              Hi John,

Looks like a wonderfull Assmann but the pics you post it for sure don't do it justice and I'm not able to detirmine what it's made of. I would be surprised if it was a lightweight cupal variant because I have never seen a cupal Assmann with white frosted finish.

John is there something sitting to the right of the catch. From where I'm sitting it looks like somekind of catch plate, something I have never seen on an Assmann.

It appears to be looking at it here in my hands, a flatened blurb of solder from the C catch.Looks like they soldered the catch on one side and it flowed out a bit to form a flatened blurb, not a purposely formed plate though. The metal of the badge under magnifier is a dark bronze color. The badge is very light.

                    Hi John,

Then it indeed is a Cupal badge. Very interesting with this type of finish. If you ever manage I would love to see better pictures or scans that show it's true color.

He is my silver cupal Assman. As you can see it has a completely different finish.

The catch...It is a different looking silver color with white frosting in the recessed areas and the reverse.Looks like it was once all frosted.
