          Looks like a good ground dug Wiedmann, but what is that to the right of the catch? Is it just rust, or is there something that was added to the badge to hold the pin in place?

            German retreated and later just run across our country - Czech Republic and thrown away along the forest roads.. that is most of my finds, second is POW holes full of badges (I am too young to managed to find such as they were in most of the cases already found by older diggers).

              Hi Tom,

              thank you for your opinion. Yes, it seems as period repair to reinforce the hinge.
              Many of these repairs are usually considered as postwar but on untouched ground dug items its definitely rare to encounter.
