    I don’t bellive the gilt is original to the clasp.

            I too would want to see some better closeups before completely dismissing this one.

            I like the wear pattern to it, very believable. However, some negatives are the brush strokes on the gold finish and also the gold finish is completely intact inside the crimps but should be a little damaged from the crimping process.

              Without the backplate everything is possible ...
              I know the gilding of this type of FLL clasps in an different finish.
              And by the way: Only from (not optimal) pics a final answer to such
              a badge is not possible in my opinion. I would wait for another one
              without any doubt. Kind regards,
