    Is this a Mayer PAB

Is this a BH Mayer Design Hallow Tombak Die 1 Early Badge? Looks bronze to me. I cannot see a trace of silver. What is your thought? Thank you for your help! Jurgen E

Nice early tombac example. It could very well be a Mayer. It just depends on who responds to your question.

      Hi Jurgen,

This is a bronze grade Schickle.
      Kind regards,

        Hi Jurgen,

I can only agree with Giel, a nice original made by Schickle. I also think its a bronze grade rather than silver. Nice early example as Chad says.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thank you all for your input! Just to make sure I understand. In the book is says it is a Mayer but that was before we found out that this badge is actually a Schickle? I am just trying to understand and learn and hopefully get this into my brain. Jurgen E
