The holy grail was in my home town!

    Hi guys,

Here in Ghent, Belgium, we have a small fair in the Expo centre. The level of quality (except for the tables of Giel's Militaria of course Augenzwinkern ) is quite low and if you return home with a nice iron cross, you can praise yourself very happy.

This weekend, at this very same fair, I was able to find the most rare, most sought after, most desirable PAB on the planet earth: the massive tombac "small w" Wurster in silver. A panzer badge variant of which I only know of one other piece around. The badge shows some wear and has the owners name and regiment scratched in the reverse.

The massive small w in silver was the last missing tombak PAB I needed.

    Hope you all like it!

    Giel

Oh BRAVO Giel, BRAVO indeed! I'm not much for these types of awards, but how splendid for you to have found this one in such a manner. As a long-time hunter and picker, I know the great joy of turning up a gem in an unexpected place. I am so very pleased for you sir. Thank you for sharing the story of your good fortune.

            Keep Well and Happy Hunting,

            Z

Congrats on a PAB that just about everyone of us will only see a picture of in our collecting career. Bravo!

                  Awesome Giel,

It would be great to look up the history of the recipient.

Simply amazing Giel! Incredibly rare PAB you have there, and really amazing to have found it at such a small show. Really goes to show that doing your homework really pays off in this hobby, I am sure many people walked past it thinking it was a fake or not really knowing what they were looking at.

Gorgeous condition, and really great to find it with an inscription on the reverse. Congrats my friend, lovely find!!

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

It's only the second one I know of too. You never know where the next jem will be found, but it happens.

                            What regiment was it?
