    PAB Opinions Please

    Good evening gents,

This badge has been offered to me and although the source seems pretty solid I can't find it referenced as an original (or repro for that matter).

I'd appreciate any opinions on it and can ask for more pics if necessary.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards!

    Bob

    Bob,
No other pictures are required, it's not a good one.

        Appreciate the input guys.

In the interest of trying to educate the guy who offered it to me, is this a copy of a known maker, or just an all out Frankenstein fake?

          Bob,
It's based on the Wurster design. However the hardware and badge material are incorrect as well other details to the obverse.

It's Deumer design fake (Oval Crimp).

              Hi Bob,

I can only agree with the others, a cast fake. The rough surface is a big red flag, especially with this type of PAB. Original Deumers are nicely struck with excellent detail.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
