    Original Panzerkampfabzeichen Hermann Aurich?

Hi! I just bought this Panzerkampfabzeichen (PAB) at a fleamarket.
The finish looks beautiful. Is it genuine?
I am not an expert on these badges...

    Many Thanks in Advance!

    Best Regards,

    Maarten

        A exceedingly common fake.

          Dear Chet and ryuuk,

Many thanks for the fast replies!
That is truely a pity to hear...

I have phoned the previous owner (lives in the village of my brother), and he has acquired it in a house cleaning. It is no problem to return it to him. Yet, could you please perhaps mark some points on why it is fake? He probably wants to know how come it is a fake... I have previously also bought a bad HA PAB badge, but this time I thought I was correct in originality..

          Best Regards,

          Maarten

            Maarten,
The most noticeable difference is the material that the badge is made from. Smaller differences are the markers mark, hardware and softness of details. If you use the search function (highly recommended by the way) you will readily see the differences between this fake and original Aurich examples.

The pin, hinge and catch setup is not right.

Here is my bronze to compare with.
