    All comments gratefully received on this assault badge that my son bought yesterday at the military Odessey Show in Kent UK.

    It's a fake. Unknown maker 10 design with JFS maker mark.

        Thanks for the comments guys. This hobby is certainly a minefield. I think I need to stick to just buying from Weitze. At least you have a reasonable confidence. I won't tell Adam he is only 8 and would be upset but a lesson for the future.

                One fake easy to spot: JFS didn't produce GAB without number (25,...)!

                  I can only agree, a very well made fake that has certainly fooled alot of collectors over the years.


                  These are good experiences though and help you realize you need to study and do your homework in this hobby. But when you know what you are looking at, this hobby can be very rewarding and fun.
