    Bulgarian PAB WWII

Hey guys, here is a RARE badge!
Awarded for the second (for Bulgaria) phase of the war, late 1944 - early 1945. The badge was made by the local “craftsman” in the brigade for some of the Bulgarian panzer crews (Armored Brigade) fighting their way along with the Russians against the retreating Germans in Jugoslavia and later in Hungary and Austria!
As you see it’s made from an Adolph Scholze PAB, likely taken from a German POW or killed soldier (who knows). The crimped in bronze plate was divided in 3 lines and states:
The symbol of the Armored Brigade (4 intertwined circles like AUDI), 1st Bulgarian Army and the year 1945! No reverse pic for now.
These were very short lived and obviously not too popular for a bunch of reasons
    Enjoy

    Hi Lubo

It would be nice to see better close up pics and reverse pics.

As you say the badge looks to be good, but the modification could have been performed at any time.

    best regards
    Graeme
