Not odd for a souval. You can find these on PABs and Iabs.

The first badge is fine. Having the catch open in to the left is fine. You see this on various badge, pabs, iabs, etc...
Sometimes I wonder whether it was just how the worker slapped it on or maybe they were done that way for guys that had lost a limb and had trouble putting on a "regular" one.

          hi Don

I mean the odd place is the neck of pin. I put a red circle there.

          regards

Look at this thread here: http://www.wehrmacht-awards.net/foru...ghlight=souval
Post number 8 shows the same pin on a HSF from Souval.

Note the die flaw in post 2 of this thread. It is present on the badge above.

                I see.............
So, RS had lots of variform pins..... I wonder what's wrong with their workers and manager at that time..... lots of irregular standards
                Thanks a lot Don

I like to think it was a Friday afternoon badge. The guy ran out of pins and leaned over to his buddy doing the HSF badge and borrowed one. They look very simular and back then they didn't scrutinize things like we do now.
Or maybe he did it just to bug us??? "Hey Hans, give me a pin from the HSF box. I want to screw with collectors in the future. This will bug the crap out of Don, Philippe, etc...."
