Hollow zinc Hymmen & co PAB

    Hi Guys,

Ok this is a true Stuttgart Find. A bit less spectacular then the Nickel Silver Wurster but this one alos made me very hapy because it's the first hollow zinc Hymmen I was ever able to add to my collection.

It's interesting to notice that the complete set-up of this badge is identical to one of the set-up variants to be found on the second pattern hollow zink Daisy PAB's. This set-up match we already did know from the IAB's and it only makes you wonder in what way Hymmen might have been related to the Daisy maker or maybe even was the Daisy maker.

          Philippe,
Another nice find on your part. I am still in need of one of these. I find them quite appealing considering they are just plain butt ugly!

Love all the badges you show-especially the SN Wurster..
Question on Hymenn-is it correct I do not see the die flaw as found on the buntmetal?

@Chet I agree, but they were made and some guys did wear them. Just imagin the look on their faces when they saw their colleagues arriving wearing brand new Wursters or Porsches

@Giel, when you saw one you had more luck then the rest of us. Apart from the 2 dot fakes, a completely worn bronze zinker with bogus grass cut-out and a nice bronze zinker (which I picked up) I didn't see any of them. All things considered I didn't see more than 8 original buntmetall PAB's all of them Wursters and BH Mayer's in bronze. Apart from two all with insane price tags.

Also the offer of zinc PAB's was extremely limited and quality just wasn't available. But even in worn condition prices were 50% above what we saw last year. A bit of a disapointment to be honest.

I'm beginning to see why we can't find any of these over here. Nice one Philippe.

The face on the eagle looks like he is constipated. Poor guy, musn't be eating right.

@Jeff, remains of the die flaw are present jeff but you relly have to look under high magnification. Also keep in mind that this is a very worn badge. Certainly on the high point, that extremely thin hairline is completely erased.

@Don, the fact that it's a little bend for sure doesn't benefit the poor buggers expression
