Need your opinions regarding this GAB. It looks like made of tombac but some traces of corrosion make me confused...

Hi Alex,
Looks like it was ground dug, the tombak base metal tends to turn dark red/brown when its beein the ground a few years, we see that sometimes on ground dug Juncker PBs and flight clasps.
Nice silver finish left on the GAB, despite it not being stored properly.

It was most likely hidden under a floor or in a wall.
Like many people did with items from the third reich after the war.
This badge was found with an early Karneth gab that was in a very similar condition.

The GAB's that some collectors refer to as made by Karneth are, in fact, attributed to RK.
However, for some strange reason, no collectors or dealers can confirm that RK = Karneth.
