    Some help and advice please?

    Hello,
I'm going through a box of militaria left to me, both British and German and have no idea if the German pieces are genuine or not. I'd appreciate some help with identification and whether or not they are repros or the right thing?
I think one is an assault badge and the other is a Retired Pilot. Have others two which I might post later on.
I also have cloth epaulets, again no idea what they are or if genuine. What thread is best to post them on?
    Many thanks in anticipation,
    Bob33

show us some pics Bob! Will be the easiest way of finding out. Please, keep in mind taking always clear obverse and reverse picture of the item. Otherwise it will be difficult to help you!

Thanks guys, I'm new to the forum and usually just browse, not post. Haven't worked out how you add pics! Sorry!

I share the same view. The fastening device, the rivets and other details raise many doubts .

Thanks AndyC for posting the pics. I could't work out how it was done.
                      So they are modern then?

                          Hi Bob,

I can only agree with the other guys unfortunately, both crude and modern fakes.

Andy, thanks for helping out posting the pics.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                            Thanks for the feedback guys.
I'm gradually going through more of the stuff I've been given and hopefully if I can work out how to put pics in I might add some items later on. Many pieces are what appear to to embroidered badges for shoulders or collars. Have a few more metal badges too but after the first two I'm not holding my breath!
                            Cheers
                            Bob
