I-net sellers question

Hi,

I wonder about these net sellers of badges and medals, if they sell original pieces or real mixed with fakes?

What are your experiences with these sellers? Thanks for your answers.

Try doing a search in the collectors community forum. Each of these dealers have been discussed there numerous times.

I have dealt with all three dealers and have visited two shops of the three you listed in Hamburg. I think all three for the most part have authentic items, but they have a lot at the same time and staffs that work for them. Mistakes can and have been made. I have also visited Andre Huesken in Hamburg, I think he is quite reputable although the prices are a bit high.

It is best to have a good idea of what you are buying, since they all post their badges, you can compare them yourself with similar badges the other dealers are selling. Just copy the image and put them side by side and check. It is not like they are hiding the badges, they are right there on the website.

I have personally had no problem with any of the three you mentioned, I have returned items, they have exchanged them with no questions asked. Detlev once sent me the wrong item and just told me to keep it, then sent on what I wanted at no charge. I am sure they sell reproductions from time to time, but it is also up to us as collectors to try to do at least a little research before sending the money.

Perhaps others have had problems, but I have not. However, I only really endorse this site and the helpful members that continue to give advice and your own best judgement when you make the final call.
