    think its a bronze recon clasp

    this recon clasp i have is olive drab. solid piece eg not seperate eagle head. i take it this is a late war piece??? so as for being olive drab why would that be ?? i take it i should class it as a bronze.. final question sorry to go on but any rough value, so i can catalog it correctly

        Hi Chris,

        it shure looks like a bronze issue for the reverse setup. I think this one lost it´s finnísh and someone desided to make it look better and painted it Olive drab
