Items from the BAM Show today

    Gentlemen,
I have returned from the Bay Area Militaria Show (BAM) with these goodies. I hope you like them as much as I do. First up is a very nice bronze WH. A good one in a sea of fakes.

Nice Badges Dad! I see that the show was a succes.
              I once flew in a B-17, B-24, & a B-25. Next, I want to fire an 88 round.

                Good for you Chet

It is my first time to see a good finishing of a broze GWL IAB. Where is BAM? in California? which city? I may visit some places in CA in this summer break. The funny thing is you got a good WH IAB in a sea of fakes

Is the W.H. badge a good one? I thought the hinge plate is supposed to be raised on these. And the cross-bar on the "H" is supposed to be below center, and not above center as it is on this one.

I also thing that the "F&B buntmetal (silver) IAB" is strangely colored. The crimps to the hinge and catch are not "pillow-shaped" enough. This has ALWAYS been a zinc badge, not "buntmetall" and that's why the crimps are of this nature.

                        Hi Yuri

I see what you mean....the MM is a bit different from yours, but Chet's WH IAB looks the same as Tucker's example.

                        regards

                          Indy,

                          Tucker's first or second book?
