    50 bronze tank assault badge

Fellow collecters, I have a collecter interested in buying my '50' Bronze Tank Assault Badge. I am finding it very difficult to find comparison prices. It is a 'GB' type. What should it go for in todays collecter market? it seems I cannot post attachments. Why is this not possible? It has nearly all the finish on the wreath and about 85% on the tank. It is the type with no rivits.

From these very limited pics it is a rare original. I am not up on current pricing but these bronze GB pieces are few and far between.

It is indeed original, Lakeside Trader has a 25 GB for 1895 without finish, Vurtual Grenadier sold a 25 in similar condition sold for 1880. Oakleaf has one all fish don't recall if 25 or 50 he wants 2850, of course he is one of the high priced dealers. Of anyone has any other knowledge please helps us out.

I think those prices are on the low side for a bronze example. Much rarer than the silver GB which is still hard to get.

Jeff, what do think is a collector to collector price is. I am the one wanting the badge, and want to pay a fair price. The bronze 25 GB on lakeside trader is still available, but the finish has been absorbed. The 25 is more scarce than the 50. I don't know when Mike sold his but it was as nice as this one for 1880. I a. Not going to pay Oakleaf 2850 to have a bronze example in my collection.

Hi Dave, I guess based on those numbers around 2k or 2100.00.
Very odd as in another thread on here the members were talking about an RK made 50 GAB for 2300 euros which is far more common and less desirable than a bronze 50 tank badge. So I guess I don't understand pricing these days.

Such GB PABs without rivets are very undervalued imo. I sold my stonemint PAb with carton case and wrapped paper for about 2300 EUR and it took months to sell it.

Without rivets, what's holding the tank on?
I can't spot any visible solder.

Hello. I was also considering the fact that many G.B. Badges have the rivets maybe this one was glued on??? I can't see any visible rivets as well. Martin

I wonder if these were put together post war from original parts for the souvenir market?

                              Troy,
Thanks for posting your beautiful badge.
It's interesting to me that the rivetless badge has that little spreader rivet holding on the number plaque.
                              Has this been observed before?
