        I agree, a good “S&L-like”, probably attributable to S&L’s wartime production for private purchase (more here).

        It looks like it has an exceptionally good amount of the original frosting left on the obverse.

        Not easy to find, probably expensive but I would think the least valuable of the private purchase German production LCTBs, after Juncker, Meybauer and Schickle, and assuming the original pre-war Spanish production badges are out of reach for most collectors?

              I should clarify, I didn’t mean to imply it wasn’t valuable — it certainly is —just that it’s probably not quite as rare as the other three known wartime makers, but in exceptionally fine condition.
