    GAB, 100. Opinions please.

I have had this looked at by 6 different collectors, two of these people advise an auction house on WWII German militaria. They would not verify because, and I quote. ‘It’s too good to be true”. I have been told it’s a fake manufactured in Czechoslovakia, when asked how many have they seen I’m told, “That one, is the only one I’ve seen”. Not exactly convincing, so I post it here to let you lot have a bash.

Sorry Alfie, but I agree with Patrick that this one is a fake. Soft details and incorrect rivetting and hardware setup are the red flags here. Compare it with a known original JFS and you will see major differences.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Lots wrong on the front as well. It appears to have the finish left but when the light hits it, it reveals it's incorrect.

One look fake. The "too good to be true" people are in the wrong business.
