Hinge and catch are red flags.

I thought the $6,000 quoted price was a joke. Then I went on Amazon and saw that there are three copies available ranging in price from $359, $1,026 and then $6,871!! I assume these are serious prices but why the huge difference? Doesn't seem to have anything to do with condition.

                    Regards
                    John

Sometimes there are price bots that raise the price every time an item is clicked on. I was looking at a reference book one time and the price on it doubled every time I clicked. It went from $200 to like $8k in the span of 15 minutes. I had to convince Amazon that there was something fishy. Took me 30 minutes of chat. About an hour later the book was no longer available.

Thanks Wiking44 I had no idea about such things. I am still puzzled about the price of Tom's book. Another site I looked at had something like seven copies available
with several in the $1,500 to $2,000 range. I realise the book is no longer in print
                          but these prices seem extraordinary.

                          Regards

Collecting those books are more valuable!
