    Deumer IAB and Karneth GAB

    Hello guys,

I'm sharing my new 2 additions.
IAB is from Deumer and that's one we can describe as minty.
GAB is a common Karneth, but all silvering is remaining and the little bubbling is very beautiful to my eyes!

    One more pic together.
The bubbling makes the GAB more dark shining on the observe. No doubt, I love it!

I don't usually like mint examples but these look great-thanks for posting.

          Hi guys,

The IAB is a fine original Deumer.

However, the GAB is a fake. Be careful out there, these are well made Staegemeir fakes.

            Sure??
I checked the database and my Heukeumes' book, I'm still on a good 1.9.5!
I searched the forum, I didn't find any Staegemeir similar to this one.
Do you have any one to compare?

            Greg.

              Hi Gorg

......One thing for certain about the GAB. Karneth is only a possible maker of this type of GAB. These GAB's are commonly referred to as having been manufactured by the as yet unkown, and unidentified, RK.

                Yes, 100% unfortunately.

Just look at the base metal of your badge, the zink bubbling is actually cast into the badge. They are not real zink bubbling you would find on original Karneth GABs.

Hardware is also different than originals. Close but no cigar.

That's hard to write but thanks... I bought it at Ciney, no way to be refund...
I believed to be able to buy common badges in militaria shows, but I was wrong. I'll keep on buying on the internet, with all my books and forum help!

                    Hi Greg,

Yeah, its tough at the shows when you have to make a quick decision without references and good lighting. Fakes are also very good, like this one so even more reason to try and post whatever you are buying here first for opinions.
