    Would this be considered a bronze version of the GAB or was such a version ever produced

          ......do a search using GAB. You'll find some good answers concerning bronze GAB's. In my opinion......never awarded.

          The one you show is id marked for Assmann.

            Hi Glenn,

            Do you have the badge in hand? From the images it looks silver. There's (red/brown) rust on the pin and it looks nothing like the finish on the badge.

                It is my opinion as well that they never made a bronze GAB. I also agree with what has been said, that it looks to be silver from the pictures. By the way, nice looking badge.
