PAB 50 in silver for review please

Hi gents I have a PAB 50 for your review.I have compared it to descriptions and photos in Tuckers & previtera's book " combat decorations of the third reich VOL 1" and it compares well but I would rather have your thoughts all the same because there's always an element of doubt with these particular badges. Thanks in advance.

The JFS letters are raised and the pin and catch assembly are identical to the one in the aforementioned book.

This one is a high end fake for me. Weak detail, hardware a little off. Number box protrudes lower than it should below the bottom of the wreath, rivets not quite right, finish does not look like typical JFS, and so on.
      Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.

Probably not the best book to use as a reference.
If you want the definitive PAB book you need the one from Philipp de Bock, The German Panzer Assault Badge.

The badge shown is a fake imo, for the reasons already mentioned.

Indeed, the mentioned reference book has its share of failings. The ONLY book for PAB collectors is Phills two volume set. It is the PAB bible.

I can only agree, this one is a nicely made fake that would fool many a collector if they don't know the small details to look for on original JFS PABs.

As the others have said, Phil DeBock's PAB book is the reference you want if you are interested in buying Panzer badges.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
