      Wartime compatible construction.
      Maybe postwar, Maybe not?
Always the question with the late Souval badges.
But o.k. to list with the originals.

I have just a look at the fake gallery but can't see any that resemble this one.

          Troy,
From your postings of various items in your collection you appear to be a serious collector. So, it begs the question why have anything questionable such as this? "War time compatible" does not give a ringing endorsement of a original. Mind you, it's just my opinion but it is the way I approach the hobby.

Thanks for your comment Chet but "the war time compatible " statement was not mine. You are correct in terms of being a serious collector, it began when I was around 12 and I still buy items now.I don't knowingly buy "questionable items" but have put my faith in trustworthy dealers and good reference books.Having said that I have still made mistakes just like most members on here.I have an interest in most things associated with the TR period ,history, organisations and taking in WW2 tours in Prague Berlin Munchen,Nuremberg or spending a few days at the wolfchanze in Poland or reading personal accounts of German soldiers. This is how I approach the hobby.

I've given the badge the Vaseline treatment and this has made the detail clearer.

Looks like a fine wartime-compatible Souval for me as well, no issues. While you can never be 100% on Souval or S&L badges, this one can be considered wartime compatible IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
