Hi Patrick-although no expert like many on here this was sold to me as a fake about 30 years ago from a chap who was downsizing a collection so always assumed it was.It came in with its etui which had the musty smell but never really questioned it.
I will take some pics of the etui.

Well you could knock me down with a feather.I have to agree the rear looks identical.
I will get closer pics of the back plate but unsure if its been messed with. You never stop learning in this game.

Other than the clasp is not center positioned, I would say an original box !

Hi Dirk ,yes I should have centered the clasp before taking the photos.I have also measured from the outer edge of the recess (horizontal) up to the inner white card inlay and both edges, these are 17 mm equally on both sides.
I have posted a few more pics of the etui for those you may be interested. It would be nice if the case was original because it came with the clasp.I am thankful that what I thought was a gold CCC as a quality reproduction is now an original Deschler.

              Dear All
This kind of boxes were made for Tombak Presentation Clasps and not for zinker version (cardboard with printed letters for example for FLL). Do you agree?
Is the box original? If yes which is the value?

              Best and many thanks
