    ........its a bit of oneJust couldnt leave it at my local flee market, interesting plate to the rear of the pin and im sure someone will even be able to tell the makerOh and its bronze

        The badge once belonged to this Oberleutnant at Stalingrad. Here we see a picture of him from earlier in the fight, when only half of the wreath is missing. By the time the battle was over, all he had left was the giant Wehrmacht eagle stickpin as seen at the start of this thread.

          Great little find.

          Just the eagle and swas look great.

          Wonder what happened to the rest of it, maybe was once part of a similar badge shown by Tom and eventually broke into more pieces.

          The IAB looks to be a hollow known as the "egghead" with a textbook hinge assebly for this type.

          Here is one from my collection to compare.
