I agree, catch solder looks good from these additional pics. From the first picture, the solder looked new and unfinished compared with the rest of the badge but the closeups show the same finish on the solder so it must just have been the lighting on the first pic.

So my original comment stands, judging from the first pic there looks to be a repair IMO.
