      An originals Assmann for me as well, but the catch is repaired.

            Yes, the side angle will prove it. To me, it's ok. Lets take a look at 2 more examples.

                I agree, catch solder looks good from these additional pics. From the first picture, the solder looked new and unfinished compared with the rest of the badge but the closeups show the same finish on the solder so it must just have been the lighting on the first pic.

                  You could still be right Tom, the second picture is not of the badge from the OP. The OP is still suspect until the alternative angle is provided as exemplified on the 3 examples above
