    PAB Early JFS? Opinions needed

I have this on loan from a friend who is selling off some of his collection.
The pictures don't exactly capture the correct tone of the piece. It appears to be a Silver washed Bronze.
Anyway, what do you all think.

No, sorry, it is a hopeless fake we discussed before.
              Cheers, Frank

                  Hi Scott,
JFS is only known to have made numbered PAB's.This one screams out fake casting to me judging by the lines on the surface, and what look like pockmarks on the obverse of the badge.
                  regards,
                  Steve

Scott, compare this badge to some to the real ones posted in this forum. Flat back is always cause for suspicion. Overdetailing around the eagle's head and a makers mark of a firm that is not known to have made the basic PAB only the numbered versions.

Thanks guys. It looked great to me, But that's why I use this forum.
Knowing badges is an art to itself.
What amazes me about this copy, is the metal is so nice. I used to think that all the copies were bendable crap, but the past few I have had seem to be high quality material.
                        Thanks!

I think the feather detailing on the eagle's face is a nice touch .

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
