Thank you all very much for your considered responses, I guess this is what makes our hobby interesting! I enjoyed the discussion & debate from all participants .. as in life there are a few positives ... an' some still not not 100% sure .. but hey-ho ... thats the name of our game!

Looks like it could or could not be original. The pin up by the hinge has a mark on it. All of the S&L pins by hinge that I have seen are smooth. The pin at the end looks filled down. Caution on this one.
