Just back from the SOS, had a great show. Was able to fill a few holes in the collection that I had been missing, and it was also great to catch up with some good friends again like Marc, Brian, Trevor, Seb & Dietrich.
First up is a F&BL Solid Cupal GAB (old Unknown #7). I have been searching for this particular variant for years now, they are just really scarce, in any condition. So when I saw this beauty sitting on a table partially buried under few other badges I was a bit skeptical. The finish is so mint that it threw me off at first. But as I studied it, the finish is 100% correct and matching the few others we know of. Not a trace of tombak peeping through the highlights, just a completely unworn example. Very excited about this one. I know Chad has one in great condition, but I think this one might have his beat.
The 2nd badge I found was a gorgeous hollow F&CL PAB. Another one on my want list for awhile now and snapped this one up quickly when I saw it. Finish is in great condition and I really like that the hardware was unfinished and soldered on as the last step.
Hope you guys like these as much as I do. SOS attendance was way up this year, best attendance I have seen in about 5 years now.
