      It could be the pictures but it looks very soft in the details, specially the JSF logo.

              Cheers Guys,not the news I wanted to hear but you've saved me some Dollar$ and I thank you for itAndy yes Mate I always try and post before I buy,badges always make me nervous and i'm trying to learn, the pin assembly and catch looked so convincing to me

              Here is another IAB badge from the same source, I hope this one is an original?

                Hi Bob,

                The second one you posted looks like an original Otto Schickle design Infantry Assault Badge. But the catch looks weird so I would suspect that is a replacement. It also looks to me like the original hinge has been reattached. Could you post some clearer pictures of the hinge and catch?

                Also, The JFS Infantry Assault Badge is a cast fake as the others have said.

                    Thank you for your comments and pictures,I don't have this badge yet.
                    I've tried to blow up the pic,see what you think,looks like a circular base plate the hook is attached to..

                            Looking at the IAB that started this thread ... I wasn't aware of a gold class. Have I missed an IAB revelation in the collecting world?
