    Hymmen CCC in silver

    Hi guys,

today I got this Hymmen CCC in silver and I'm really happy, that I found one in good condition after a long time I was looking for one.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of experience with CCCs, so I would like to ask you about your opinions. Everything fine with these clasp? Do you have any doubts? Do you see any repairs?
Opinions are welcome and I hope that you like it as much as I do!
Thanks in advance for your help!

            Hi Sven,

Very nice addition! Very hard to find clasp, especially in the silver grade and yours has almost all its original finish remaining which makes it so much rarer. I don't see any signs of repair and I think the backplate is correct and original to the clasp. Looks like a little damage on the left side of the central motif, grenade head and bayonet tip, not sure what that would be from but the finish is still largely intact in those areas and doesn't really detract from this clasp or its value IMO. Lovely addition my friend, congrats.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

My first guess was a dirty die , for the damage to the grenade and bayonet, but you can see more damage to the achehorns on the left as well.
The soldier wearing it, hit the ground looking for cover and scratched it.
That would be my best guess.

So you are not really into NKS but you wanted a Hymen? Do explain!

                      Hi guys,

thanks for your kind comments - very much appreciated!!!

@Tom: Thanks a lot for verifying that everything besides the small damages on the surface is fine with this clasp!!!

@Philipson: Hymmen is one of my favourite makers. Furthermore I collect more and more just the rare stuff and I know that these Hymmen clasps are extremly rare. With some luck I got a very nice Hymmen clasp severals years ago and then I've decided that I would like to have just one CCC of each grade and that has to be a Hymmen. Now I just have to find a golden one :-)

                          Hello Sven,
very nice clasp and if you know also my Favorit maker at all!
The damage looks a little bit strange to me, hardly to imagine that the lower oakleaf is more damaged than the grenadehead by scratching the ground, could it be that there was a little bit "Zinkpest" and it was "cleaned".....?!
The hinge pin is not typical for Hymmen, it looks more than an FLL pin with the "nailhead" instead of the normally by Hymmen used wire pins, never see it before on another Hymmen badge and clasp..... The patina on the pins bottom looks to be in line with the rest of the clasp?!
                          KR René
