bronze ccc with cracked corner

looking to purchase this ccc and no doubt its original but I have never seen a crack like this in the corner. Of the 6 CCC's I own none have this issue. How hard does it effect the value and is it a common issue with this manufacturer?

not a real good picture of the crack but it is visible. also it does not appear to show on the reverse just the front.

I do not believe it to be a die flaw but more of a crack. or is stress fracture a better term.

Nice CCC. The crack does go through to the reverse as it is visible at the top. I would agree with the term stress fracture. Probably happened when the backing plate was inserted/crimped. I have seen similar fractures on other Close Combat Clasps by AGMuK. IMO it is not a serious issue, although it might affect the value a little. Just treat the piece with TLC as you don't want the piece to break off.

Nice original piece. The small stress crack is not something that would turn me off personally.

Nice clasp. A fine original AGMuK for me as well, and not all that uncommon to find them cracked in places. As Tom says, most likely happened during crimping of the backplate. AGMuK had an excellent crimping method, very robust and that is why they are almost always found complete with their backplate and not lost to time like some other makers. Down side is that it cracked the clasp from time to time due to the force.
