CCC Silver - C. E Juncker For Review

    Friends,
I recently acquired this Silver CCC by Juncker and would ask that it is reviewed here.

It has a replaced back-plate that is magnetic and a manufacturing defect “F” instead of “E”.

    My two questions are:

Is the Fluted Pin on Juncker standard?

I find the silver tone on this piece a bit strange - could this be a Bronze which has been "upgraded" to silver? i.e. has it been repainted at some time in its life?

I realise that without having it in the hand it's difficult to discern but I'd appreciate your best efforts!

    Best,
    Dave

It looks like a well worn Juncker on my cellphone screen.
I have never seen a Juncker CCC with fluted pin as this before.

    Wait for some more opinions.

It indeed has a chance but the backplate and pin are replacements.
      Kind regards,

        Hi David,

The clasp itself is original, but in poor condition as far as finish goes. I suspect it is not a silver clasp, but rather a bronze one that has had most of its finish rubbed off. The silver you are seeing is the zink base metal of the clasp.

The backplate is a replacement as you say and also the pin is definitely replaced. Juncker did not use fluted pins like this.

An original clasp, but heavily messed with unfortunately.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
