    Another one bites the dust

    Ordered a PAB from the Estand. Asked for best price all in,
    Here is how it arrived and now the catch is no longer part of the badge. His response was......
    "I'm very sorry. but I did my best for the price paid.
    you requested for the cheaper price "ALL IN". I decided you just paid the badge. I paid registered shipping without insurance with a safe envelope. you think this is not the best packaging? I respect that. but allways done this way and never had a trouble. I'm not responsible concerning postal service if insurance is not taken."
    I cant believe the way people are. Wrapped in a piece of paper nd mailed in a padded envelope. At least he could have put a piece of cardboard in to protect the pin and catch! So Should I try to repair the catch or leave it.

    Extremely unprofessional .... There is absolutely NO excuse for badly packaging any item! As you say - the least it should be sandwiched between cardboard, Bubble wrap costs peanuts. I call it greed by the seller!
    There is nothing wrong asking for the "best price" people do it to me all of the time, but I still wrap it correctly!

        I totally agree. Wrap them and pack them like you would want them to be wrapped and packed for you. Where is the respect for the piece. Its not all about the money.

            I have to say that is crap packing job on that PAB and a damn shame about the damage It's an easy repair I think but that is not the point is it

              Absolutely unacceptable packaging! I had a similar situation with item damaged in transit because of poor packaging. Oh and by the way insurance or no insurance they will not pay just because you did a ship job packaging the item! Can you name the person who shipped this so we know who it is?

                  Its a shame isnt it? Just for the sake of a little bubble wrap. You would have paid that extra penny had you known, to cover the cost of it.

                      That's right e stand rules allow you to send it back......jmo but that was a real bad packaged badge.

                          pep was the seller. I wrap a cloth patch better than that when I sell and cant imagine sending a pinned badge like that, and with the lame excuse. For the 101 Vet response, REALLY?

                            I agree - return it, you won't lose much on shipping as it's already pretty f'ed up. The seller has to return your money or risk losing e-stand privileges. Notify e-stand mods, and document all shipping.

                              I had a dealer send me 3 close combat clasps in a plastic box with no cushioning around the badges whatsoever. When they arrives the Juncker CCC was broke in half. Some people are complete idiots, return that PAB immediately for a refund.
                              Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.
