TD Badge off uniform

My latest find: Tank Destruction Badge off uniform. It looks good to me, but I'll let others give me the info.

Hi Ron,

i have my doubts about this "tdb".

IMO the dimensions between the cloth band and the tank are wrong. Also the cloth band itself is wrong and the tank in details also. The prongs are too not correct in my opinion.

based on these pictures my opinion:

Tank is authentic type 3 with correct prongs. It looks to have been removed and reattached, possibly losing the 3rd prong doing this...

The silver strip is also correct but worn down and obviously messed with. Notice the lower black band with partial (correct) weaving still remaining.

The dimensions look fine exept for the total width.
The vertical stitch holes in the strip are kind of strange but could have been made to sew the missing backing cloth back on instead of using glue as it should have been done.

Anyway a nice catch!

Thanks to all. I wonder if it had been sewn on more than once to different uniforms during the war? Thread holes may be more than one attachment?

Very good explaining Dirk. Especially the down worn stripe nailed me.
