    IAB (die-stamped/hollow back bronze)

Seeking feedback on this IAB which appears to me to have been die-stamped from bronze. There is verdigris present attesting to the copper in the metal. The details are not crisp. The clasp or catch is bronze. The bent-over hinge and pin are both magnetic. There is a "flat spot" on the pin where it curves around the hinge. There is a space between the rifle and the swastika. I can detect no maker mark.

Opinions as to the period authenticity of this badge and also the maker would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for looking.

      Hi John,

Well, its an original Schauerte & Hohfeld IAB, but very poor condition. It was most likely ground dug, and the pin is a replacement IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
