    AFRIKA cloth badge.

Hello, long time lurker, new sign up here.

I was wondering if anyone can provide some info on the following cloth badge. I found it between the pages of a book of my late father's whilst clearing out his stuff. He collected Germans medals and badges of WWII so it wasn't that random
I've had a good look on the web and came up empty.

Apologies for having to use an outside hosting source but I couldn't see a means of pinning it up locally. If a mod could copy and paste it into the thread that'd be helpful. As a newbie I can't add attachments it seems.

I used to own a M3A1 scout car and while rummaging underneath the dash one day discovered a carved wooden pendant with the very same carving as your badge hanging on a very tatty piece of string. I think that it had been there for a very long time. I always wondered about it. I know that the vehicle was in Africa. Be interesting to find out what it is. I subsequently sold the vehicle and left the pendant where it was although i was tempted to keep it.

Interesting. My search of the net has revealed badges with plenty of aspects / similarities of / with this badge but not all of them. I just can't seem to make any headway. The design is impregnated onto the white background which in turn is sewn onto the green shield - it's very well made rather than some piece of toot made for the tourists.

Can anyone infer how much this patch might be worth please?
