    Chrome plated PAB

    Hi Guys,
I just received this chrome silver Aurich in the mail today and thought I'd post some scans. It does have a small crack in it but you can hardly see it from the obverse when you hold it in your hand. The silver plating is almost 100% on the obverse but the scans really don't do it any justice
One weird thing I did notice was that the reverse has hardly any of the silver plating left compared to the obverse..is this normal for this type of badge? Do any of you guys have this same type of PAB that you could post some scans of?Thanks in advance..Dan

That crack is quite common on HA PAB's. I've one that is mint in the box and it shows the same crack although to a lesser degree. The finish on mine is just the regulary encountered one.

          Hi Dan.

This one has a 100% plating to the obverse and the reverse isn't as dark as pictured.

Thanks for the scans Peter..yours is exactly the same as mine..heavy silver plating on the obverse, but only a light wash on the reverse! Really nice badge you have there. .. makes me wonder if maybe mine is the frosted silver variety Dan

                      Hi Dan.

I'm using an Epson Perfection 1240U ($70 ). It has nice performance, but occasionally the images turn out rather dark and I can't figure out how to adjust the settings .
I don't think the reverse of my badge has had the chrome applied to the same extent as the obverse. Philippe

Is the quote from George S. Patton, or George C. Scott ?
