Question on Panzer Assault '25' by JFS

Or for that matter, any tank assault badge by any maker that is numbered.

To be specific though, did the JFS Tank Assault '25' ever come in a brown flat envelope or would it have come in a case, to reflect it's relative importance vis-à-vis, the unnumbered badge?

Did any manufacturer award numbered badges in envelopes, whether they were General Assault Badges or Tank Assault or???

Heey Tim,

I am pretty sure they came in the standart award envelops and there where no specific cases. I do remember seeing them in the typical small cardboard unmarked boxes.

Pretty strange for such a high award to not even have a nice case!

It was awarded in a cardboard box as well as a packet. Militaria Berlin have the a 25 JFS GAB in their latest update http://militaria-berlin.de/boxed-gen...maker-jfs.html

Its similar with Flight clasps, only the early Recon, Bomber and Short Range Day fighter came in cases there after paper packets

Tim,
The type of paper, the strange construction (that weird oversized tab designed to slide into a slot to close the bag), and the very large and thick stamping of the badge type and maker lead me to believe it is a total fake. As far as I know, JFS always marked its bags with Gablonz/Neisse, not Gablonz a.d.N.

I have never seen a packet/envelope for a JFS numbered PAB or GAB. I have seen various cardboard boxes for them, but none that I recall were marked with either the type of badge or the maker. The only numbered PAB envelopes I recall seeing were for Brehmer badges.
