    German Assault Badge

I picked this up today and I couldn't pass it up because of the details in the badge and it's appears to be worn. The pin is very rusted and I haven't tried to move it. Not sure of what kind of material it's made of but I suspect a copper of some sort. If anyone knows the maker or anything about this badge it would be greatly appreciated.

You should have passed on it, its a fake unfortunately. The rust is young, bright red around the hinge is a big red flag. Not been in the ground long, it was purposefully stored badly to make it rust quickly and try to mask the fact its a fake.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I agree with Tom, just a well aged fake.
