Anti Partisan Badge 2.3 in Bronze

Hello Guys. Can I please get some help and opinions on this APB. Please Look at the back of it, seems like the medal is lifting or separating, is this a red flag??? I know these are made from Zinc and they are very fragile and break easy.

    Thanks everyone!

    Nothing wrong here.
Have a look at the APB book and you'll find a lot of infos about the production of these badges.
Furthermore 2.3 badges are the most solid BKAs you can find on market.

    My books:

    - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
    - THE SS TK RING
    - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
    - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
    - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

    and more!

sorry to highjack this thread, but how long was your resarch for your book about the BKA? New discoveries of infos about this badge you did not get on internet-forums. How did you get those infos without Internet?

      Just asking of curiousity

            Nice original Juncker APB.

Joey, did you read Antonio's book? If not, then you are in no position to criticize anything. Who in your opinion would be more of an expert than a person like Antonio who spent countless hours researching this award, tracking down and reading original documents from the period, talked with still-living recipients and then organizing all this information into a readily available collector resource?

I doubt Antonio would call himself an "expert", but he is the most knowledgeable person on this subject because he spent the time to do the research and writing.

Sounds like you can do a better job. I look forward to your book on the subject.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Joey....get the book and educate yourself on the subject,Antonio's book contains probably THE most in-depth research available at present on this sought after award.

                Nice Badge.

                  It took me years.
Years of asking pictures, of searching period documents, of searching recipients and their families, of studying each badge and of making a database of almost 3-400 specimens.
Internet is a good source, but it is not enough. Many infos would have never been discovered with internet only.

                  My friends already answered you.
I'm not an expert, and for sure I'll be happy to read something new about these badges, so if you have any info feel free to write and publish it.
I just ask you only one thing: before being rude with someone or despising his works be kind enough to spend some of your time in reading what he wrote.

Antonio's book is truly superb and if you don't own it and you have an interest in these awards you should definitely get a copy.
Perhaps I can understand where some of this animosity comes from however. Many of the old time authors were crooks or borderline crooks, looking only to enrich their own collections at the expense of others. The new breed of authors such as Tom Durante, Antonio, Phillipe DB, Frank Heukemes, Norm F, John Robinson, Dietrich, George Stimson and others are creating labors of love for us as collectors. Knowing first hand the countless hours invested in these projects for such a tiny financial reward shows how much they care about our shared hobby. Rather than criticize, we owe a tremendous gratitude for their efforts in making badge and award collecting one of the safest areas of the third reich to collect.
