            Hi GEORGIUS

......A textbook RK GAB in very nice condition. Not known if made by Karneth.

Karneth has not been conclusively identified as the maker of these GAB's. Very exhaustive, responsible research has been, and is still being done, in the Gablonz area in regards to TR era awards, and to date no solid evidence to support the claim that RK is Karneth has been unearthed. It is only speculation and guesswork at this time.

If, or when, RK is identified it will be posted on these Forums.

            Nice badge.

I can only agree, a fine original Karneth GAB. Nice condition too.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                  Hi Georgius

......If you would like to take a little time to read the following thread, I encourage you to do so. This is information that I base my statements about RK on, among other threads. The thread will enable you to make a decision based on what is presently known about RK.

There is gut feeling and there are facts. The beauty of it is that you get to decide what best fits your expectations.

                  Happy collecting

The pics are not the best, but the finish and hardware look original to me.

Side pics of the hinge would help decide if any repairs or not.

Bruce - you explained the RK conundrum very well the first time. Don't let Tom wind you up !

                    regards
                    Graeme
