I believe it may be a Mayer/Schickle design (see below) but these aren't my specialty so hopefully, someone else will chime in. I also believe it is tombak, which would imply that it is more likely to be a Schickle than a Mayer, but others can answer that better than I can.

          Hi Mitch,

A straight-on view of the front and reverse would be better than all of these angled views. However, it looks to me like an original by Hymmen & Co. of Lüdenscheid.

I will move your thread over to the Heer/Waffen SS War and Qualification Badges Forum as you will get more opinions there.

          Best regards,
          Tom

Thanks, Tom. Now that I did a search of Hymmen IABs, I seen what you mean and agree.

It's indeed a Hymmen... but is it original, that's an other question. Judging by the patina on the piece I really do not like it. Can you post nice outside photos of obverse and reverse? No close ups.
              Kind regards,
              Giel

Looks like a good Hymmen to me.

I see what Giel is saying, but I just think the lighting is weird and this badge may have been cleaned and/or polished giving it a weird appearance. I feel that if it were in hand, it would look fine. The hardware looks very good to me, so I am confident its an original one.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
