Beauty Jay! Lovely early Juncker with great patina. Yours is the variant that didn't receive any white frosted finish, and I believe these are the earliest PABs that were awarded.

Nice worn condition with great patina, I bet it has a story or two to tell!

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Could it be that catch and pin are replaced?

Not repaired for me as well. The pin is textbook Juncker and the catch also looks fine. Remember, this badge didn't receive any silver finish on it, so the catch is bare tombak/brass.

                            Hi collector friends,

I made my remark because this badge is considered to have a replaced pin and reconstructed catch. For me both badges, pin and catch, look alike!

                              Hi Blitz,

The badge you show has a replaced pin. The catch looks OK to me.
